At least two people were killed after a bomb was hurled at a Trinamool Congress (TMC) worker's house in West Bengal's Murshidabad on Friday, 14 June, reported ANI.

The victims were identified as Khairuddin Sheikh and Sohel Rana, who are from the same family.

Kahiruddin's son Milan Sheikh alleged the Congress was behind the attack and said that their house was bombed when they were asleep. "They shot my father. Few days back, my uncle was also killed," he said.

West Bengal has been reeling under rising political violence after the 2019 Lok Sabha elections concluded. Last week, a TMC worker and two BJP workers were killed during clashes in North 24 Parganas' Sandeshkhali.
