As per data released by the Ministry of Home Affairs, 10 percent of all heinous crimes were committed by juveniles while 9,672 of those crimes were targeted towards women, of which 5,048 cases of rape and 3,628 cases of assaults were registered. Additionally, there were also 290 cases of dowry death cases registered against juveniles.

Some amount of accurate assessment of how a mind behaves can be done based on our experience and database. But an adolescent mind that is deliberately committing certain act is difficult to predict and generalise as it is very dynamic.
