Chairperson of the West Bengal Women’s Commission, Sunanda Mukherjee on Tuesday in a bizzare statement pinned the blame for increase in number of rapes in the country on advertisements of products claiming to enhance sex power.

This shocker comes on the back of the alleged gangrape of a 24-year-old in a moving car by three men in Kolkata.

In a report published in NEWSX, she has claimed that television advertisements of Viagra, a medicine used for enhancing sexual potency, is to be blamed for the increasing instances of rapes in the country.

Going easy on men, Mukherjee gave a bizzare justification claiming that men are more prone to rape women after being exposed to vulgar advertisements of products like Viagra, as it corrupts their minds leading them to lose control over themselves.

Rapes happen due to Viagra ads. They corrupt the minds due to which men lose control and do such things.
