Uttarakhand High Court Chief Justice Joseph Transferred to Andhra

The bench headed by him had quashed the president’s Rule in the state.

The Chief Justice of Uttarakhand high court has been transferred to the Andhra Pradesh high court in Hyderabad. Justice KM Joseph was recently in the news for quashing the President’s rule in Uttarakhand.

Justice Joseph, the Times of India reports, assumed charge as the chief justice of Uttarakhand in July 2014. He is an alumnus of the government law college in Ernakulam.

The current acting chief justice of Hyderabad high court Dilip B Bhosale has been assigned as the chief justice of the Madhya Pradesh high court.

The Supreme court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing on the centre’s plea against Uttarakhand high court’s order revoking the President’s rule to 6 May.
