Tribal Woman, Her Lover Paraded Naked; Tied in Public for 2 Days
The woman allegedly left her husband to go live with her lover.
A woman and her alleged lover were paraded naked and then tied together for two days and a night in Udaipur district of Rajasthan, as jeering crowds clicked their pictures and posted them on the social media, according to Times of India.
The duo were tortured and humiliated by a mob led by the woman’s husband, Bhanwarlal Meena, and his family members at Kasotia village on Monday.
Despite the episode taking place in broad daylight, all eyewitnesses, including teachers and health workers, did not report the matter to the authorities. On 17 June, the woman had allegedly left her husband to live with her partner.
Thirty persons have been booked and 13, including the woman’s husband and three women, have been arrested so far.
