Bombay High Court grants interim anticipatory bail to controversial ‘godwoman’ Radhe Maa in a dowry case.

Radhe Maa turned up at the Kandivali Police Station on Friday in response to the summons issued by the Mumbai Police for questioning with regard to a dowry harassment case.

Presently I will not be able to tell anything with regard to the case and the statement of the accused as well as of Radhe Maa.
— Mukund Pawar, Senior Inspector

Radhe Ma will record a statement after a 32-year-old woman filed a case against her for instigated her in-laws to demand dowry.

The Kandivali police had summoned her last week after the complainant had complained of physical and mental harassment by her in-laws, followers of ‘Raadhe maa’.

A local court denied pre-arrest bail to Sukhvinder on Thursday.

A lawyer in Mumbai has also filed a complaint against Sukhvinder for carrying a trident in a plane.

BJP MLA from Gujarat, Vasan Ahir has written to the state Home department demanding a probe against Sukhvinder in connection to a family which committed suicide in 2004 in Kutch district.

The family was allegedly duped by Sukhvinder for Rs 1.35 crore in exchange of ‘a place in heaven’.
