Sonia Gandhi Calls PM Modi’s Poll Promises “Hawa Baazi”

Sonia Gandhi attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Congress Working Committee meeting in Delhi, accusing him of “hawa baazi” (talking in the air). The Congress President said the PM had failed to “match media events with actual accomplishments”.

Commenting on the government’s move to allow the land ordinance to lapse, she accused Modi of being out of touch with the ground reality.

Taking a dig at the BJP’s alliance with the Rashtriya Swayamsevakl Sangh (RSS), the Congress party chief accused the government of being run by the RSS.

As dialogue between Pakistan and India’s National Security Advisors was proposed and subsequently cancelled due to increased instances of ceasefire violations from across the border, Sonia quipped that the government cannot make up its mind on what should be done and accused Modi of “unedifying flip flops”.
