Inspired by Kerala MP Shashi Tharoor's tendency to casually throw in impressive, big words in his tweets, that leave the entire country hunting for a dictionary to figure out what he actually meant, Amul made a punny cartoon. Following this, Tharoor went on to express how “butterly honoured” he was – with another one of his intelligent tweets.
The Amul girl, in the cartoon, can be seen looking frenzied, scrounging for the meaning of Tharoor's words, in a big, blue dictionary, while he sits on her side, amused and grinning. The cartoon was accompanied with a tagline that read: "Tharooraurus anyone?"
Tharoor, in reaction to Amul's cartoon, came up with a hilarious tweet, in which he pointed out that he was "butterly honoured", and that he felt like a "Tharooaurus Rex."
Tharoor also explained what he meant by this term, which clearly comes from Dinosaur family's Tyrannosaurus Rex, saying that a ‘Tharoorosaurus Rex’ is an ancient creature, which will soon be extinct after being snuffed out in a cloud of incomprehension.
Humans of Twitter, obviously, had a field day.
