JD(U) MLA Sarfaraz Alam was questioned by the railway police for four hours on Saturday in connection with the alleged molestation case. After the questioning was over, PN Mishra, the Railway SP, said that Alam admitted to being on the Guwahati-Rajdhani Express on the day of the incident.

Alam had earlier denied that he was even on the train after a lady and her husband filed a complaint that the MLA has sexually assaulted her. But CCTV footage revealed that Alam had indeed taken that very train.
