Pratyusha’s Parents Write to Home Ministry Demanding CBI Probe
Her parents later said the minister assured them that he would look into the issue.
Pratyusha Banerjee’s parents have written to Home Minister Rajnath Singh demanding a CBI probe into the television actresses death.
Soma Banerjee alleged in the two-page letter personally handed over to Singh on Sunday that “she was shown as having committed suicide by hanging herself from a fan in a room, which had no tables to climb on,” The Times of India reported.
Her parents later said the minister assured them that he would look into the issue. The letter also said, that Pratyusha came in contact with Rahul Raj last June and got “entrapped in his love game”.
The letter also stated that despite adequate materials with the police in the form of call records, witness statements and site inquest and their own case that Rahul consumed drugs, police have not registered a murder case.
