Pakistan ISI Agent, BSF Constable Arrested for Alleged Espionage

Pakistani ISI agent and a BSF constable are arrested by Delhi Crime Branch for espionage.

An Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agent and a Border Security Force (BSF) soldier have been arrested by the Delhi Police Crime Branch on a railway station in Jammu for allegedly running an espionage racket.

The two have been identified as Kafaitullah Khan alias Master Raja (44), a resident of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir, and BSF head constable Abdul Rasheed, posted at the intelligence wing of Border Security Force in the same district, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ravindra Yadav said.

Khan has been remanded in seven days of custody according to CNN–IBN.

Khan is a handler of Pakistan Intelligence Operative (PIO) and Rasheed was one of his chief sources. The espionage racket run by them is supported by Pakistan’s ISI.

The two have been arrested been booked under Official Secret Act. Khan was held on Jammu station while he was on his way to Bhopal and documents related to the national security were recovered from him.

According to a report by IBNLive, the two are relatives and coordinated passage of information regarding deployment of officers in the Indian Air Force and security forces to the ISI.

The agent came in contact with the BSF soldier and offered him money in exchange of information. The soldier agreed and shared information through social messaging applications like WhatsApp, Viber along with email.
