Over 100 Hospitalised For Viral Fever in Andra Pradesh

Over 100 Andra Pradesh villagers have been admitted to hospital due to viral fever. Reason: water contamination.

The affected people are being treated in various hospitals in the district. 

Nearly 150 people, including several children, from five villages in Krishna district have been hospitalised for viral fever, health officials said.

Nearly 150 villagers from five villages in Krishna district, namely Kothamajeru, Chinnapuram, Thotlavaluru, Muthrasipalem and Surumpalli, have been hospitalised after they started suffering from viral fever and other related infections.

The affected people are being treated in various hospitals in the district, she said.

Three deaths were reported in Kothamajeru village some days back, following which medical camps were set up there to contain the spread of the epidemic.
