No Promotion, Pachauri to Just Aid in Transition at TERI: Sources

Ajay Mathur given full executive powers at TERI. RK Pachauri only to help him in transition as DG, says TERI source.

A spokesperson from The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) has said that Ajay Mathur has been named as the head of the institute. Caught in a sexual harassment case, former TERI head RK Pachauri has been given the newly formed position of Executive Vice Chairman, only to help Mathur in his transition.

On Tuesday, 9 February, Pachauri was given the newly formed position of Executive Chairman of TERI. As a result of his appointment, the complainant expressed her distress over the move, while two more alleged victims agreed to testify in her case.

Ajay Mathur was made the Director General of TERI when Pachauri was named in the sexual harassment case on 24 July 2015.
