The Indian Army on Sunday foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Tangdhar sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district, killing three terrorists in an encounter.

According to reports, the three terrorists were involved in the attack on a BSF camp in Karnah area of Kupwara on 19 August which resulted in three security personnel being injured.

The entire area has been cordoned off as attempts are being made to smoke out the terrorists.

Earlier in June, the Army had foiled another infiltration attempt by killing two militants in Tangdhar sector near the LoC.
