Car With Explosives Found Near Indian Consulate in Herat, One Held

One person has been arrested in Herat, Afghanistan after a car full of explosives was found near the Indian consulate in the area, according to the Indian Ambassador to Afghanistan, Amar Sinha.

Sinha has also said that the car was not rigged, but was transporting the explosives.

The security is trying to ascertain the motive of the transport of the explosives and the security around the consulate is beefed up.

The Indian consulate in Afghanistan’s Mazar-i-Sharif was attacked on 4 January, Monday by 4-5 terrorists. One terrorist was captured alive after the Mazar-i-Sharif consulate attack.
