The gun found in the boat appears to be used for poaching. The occupants might have fled after seeing the BSF patrolling party, officials said.

The boat was found a day after BSF seized another Pakistani fishing vessel in the creek area of Kutch. Two mobile phones and some fishing equipment were found in the boat on Monday.

Boats of Pakistani origin are often found near the Indo-Pak border. This is the fifth abandoned vessel seized by BSF in the last four months.
