Bihar Toppers’ Scam: Pistol & Bullets Found in Bacha Rai’s Office
A country made pistol and live cartridges were found in Bacha Rai’s office who is the alleged kingpin of the scandal
Bihar police seized a country-made pistol and five live cartridges from Bacha Rai’s office at Bishun Rai college on Sunday. Bishun Rai college is central to the infamous toppers’ scandal in Bihar Intermediate Examination.
The raid was conducted by Special Investigation Team (SIT).
The police team found the pistol and cartridges kept in an almirah at the college principal’s office. Rai, the alleged kingpin in the toppers’ scandal, was arrested on 11 June. He is the secretary-cum-principal of Bishun Rai College in Vaishali district of Bihar.
Arts and Science toppers Ruby Rai and Saurabh Shrestha were students in the same college. Police have arrested eight people so far, including Rai, in this connection.
Former Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) Chairman Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh and his former MLC wife and ex-Principal of Ganga Devi College, Patna Usha Sinha are still absconding.
