2 Jawans Killed, 4 Injured in Army Convoy Attack in Qazigund, J&K

Two Army jawans were killed and four were injured in an attack by terrorists on Army convoy in Qazigund in Anantnag district, Jammu and Kashmir.

The deceased have been identified as Naik Dipak Maity from West Bengal and Manivannan G from Tamil Nadu.

The convoy was reportedly attacked when it was travelling from Jammu to Srinagar near Hillar village on the national highway, reports The Indian Express. Search operations were launched to track militants responsible for the attack.

According to a police official, either the Hizbul Mujahideen or the Lashkar-e-Taiba could be behind the attack, reported The Times of India.
