Telugu Desam Party’s (TDP) Kakinada MP Thota Narasimham has alleged that there is a conspiracy to defame him after he was accused of taking nude photographs of children, reported Network 18.

I am ready to face any inquiry. These allegations levelled against me by a Kakinada lawyer is baseless and fabricated. I am ready to cooperate with the police and want the truth to come out in public.

A Kakinada-based lawyer Suravarapu Venkata Ravi has complained to the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) alleging that Narasimham took nude photographs of his children along with other minors.

Accusing the MP of being involved in the crime, the lawyer demanded an inquiry. The State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has written to Andhra Pradesh Director-General of Police (DGP) JV Ramudu and the Secretary Home Affairs to investigate the matter.

The commission has sought a report by 16 June.
