  • 150-million-year-old footprints of the Eubrontes Gleneronsensis Theropod dinosaur were found in Jaisalmer, according to The Times of India. Fossils of the dinosaur have been found worldwide in Europe, Australia, the US and now in India.

  • A team from the geological department of Jainarayan Vyas University were the ones to discover the prints, which may help to solve the mystery of extinction of the species, according to Dr Suresh Chandra Mathur who was part of the team.

  • The discovery is important as it may make way for the discovery of other dinosaur fossils in “equivalent rocks,”the report said. Mathur, along with his team from the university, discovered a bone bed “containing fossils of dinosaurs, crocodile, gastropods and fish from the Fategarh formation, with magnetic spherules.”
