Postcards to PM: Delhi Children Ask For Fresh Air to Breathe
Here are some letters written by children where they talk about how severe air pollution has affected their lives.

As Delhi continues to choke under severe pollution, several children from across the Delhi-NCR wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging him to take measures to ensure clean air for them.
Posting handwritten copies of the postcards on Twitter with the hashtag ‘#BacchonKeMannKiBaat’, the children also urged the prime minister to address the issue in his monthly radio address.
The Quint accessed some of the letters written by children where they talk about how failure to act on air pollution has affected their everyday lives.
A thick layer of toxic smog engulfed Delhi as the pollution level continued to remain in the 'severe' category for the fourth consecutive day on Friday, 15 November.
The high pollution can be attributed to low wind speed, which has led to stagnation of pollutants in the air and slowed down the dispersion process, authorities said.
An AQI between 201 and 300 is considered 'poor', 301-400 'very poor' and 401-500 'severe'.
The Ministry of Earth Sciences' air quality monitor, SAFAR, said flushing of pollutants was almost insignificant due to stagnation and very low mixing height.
