My daughter wants to do Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communications (BJMC) and she has scored 88 percent in her CBSE Class 12 exams. Which college/university would be best for her?
Ashok Kumar Yadav

Dear Ashok,

Kindly specify the preferred location for your daughter’s admission. There are so many colleges that offer BJMC, and with 88 percent, it should not be difficult for your daughter to get admission.

Some of the popular BJMC colleges in India where she can apply include:

Here’s a list of BJMC colleges in India. You can filter the location and select the college that you feel is best suited for your daughter.

I want to do B.Ed from IGNOU. After the completion of B.Ed, can I enrol myself in M.Ed in a prestigious college?
Even Lakra

Dear Even,

The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) administers the M.Ed programme and curricula in India. In recent years, there have been some discrepancies in the management and execution of B.Ed and subsequently M.Ed courses. If you are doing B. Ed from IGNOU currently, you will need to do a regular B.Ed course (1 or 2 years) after you complete your B.Ed from IGNOU.

Basically, you have to have studied B.Ed in a regular mode. If not, then admission to M. Ed will be a problem. Alternatively, you may get teaching jobs in primary schools or Montessori schools.

I had completed my B.Com from Aligarh Muslim University. I’m considering doing MBA. But I’ve already cleared my CPT. Which one should I opt for? Or shall I go for a CA course?
MD Shahbuddin

Dear Shahbuddin,

Both CA & MBA have good ROI’s. Now it depends on your interest and skill-set as to what you want to do. If you have cleared CPT already, we will advise you to pursue that, as competition in this field is relatively healthy.

To study in a good MBA college in India, you will need to clear MBA entrance exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, SNAP etc, and all of these exams will take place from October-November onwards. So, if you can pursue CA right now, then please go ahead. You can decide about MBA when the forms are out for 2019 admission.

I just appeared for PG 2018 exam of DU. I’m mostly getting 50 percent marks. Will I get admission in DU for M.Sc Zoology?
Surbhi Raj

Dear Surbhi,

We are sorry to say, that with 50 percent marks, it looks difficult to bag a seat in DU for M.Sc Zoology. But keep trying, you may make it in the subsequent cut-off lists.

I got 88.25 percent in Arts, can I get admission in political science in DU?
Md Jafar Ekbal

Dear Jafar,

There are some colleges in DU where you can apply for B.A (Hons) in political science on the basis of the first cut-off list of 2018. Some of them include: Deshbandhu College, Motilal Nehru College (Evening) etc.

Here is a list of DU Colleges and Courses with Less than 90% Cut-Off Criteria for your perusal.
