UGC NET Online Registration Begins Today – Here’s a Handy Guide

The online application for UGC NET for July 2018 begins on 6 March 2018.

The online application for UGC’s National Eligibility Test (NET) for July 2018 opens today, 6 March. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) made the announcement about the July session on 23 February 2018. As per the information bulletin released by the CBSE, the online process for NET will begin from 6 March 2018 and will go on till 5 April 2018.

NET 2018 is conducted to award Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) and eligibility for Assistant Professor or eligibility for Assistant Professor only, in Indian universities.

The exam will be conducted for 84 different subjects across the country.

Here’s All That You Need For Your Application

1. Passport size photograph of minimum 4KB and maximum 40KB size in JPG format.

2. A scanned copy of your signature between 4KB to 30KB in JPG format and in a dimension of 3.5cm (width) x 1.5cm (height).

3. Debit/credit card for payment of online fee or you can generate an e-challan (payable at Syndicate/Canara/ICICI Bank).

4. All certificates and other important documents.

Here’s How You Can Apply

1. Candidates applying for NET must only apply on the official CBSE website: cbsenet.nic.in

2. After filling the application form, the candidate has to select the mode of payment. The candidate can either pay online or generate an e-challan.

3. Before applying online, candidates are advised to go through detailed notification available on CBSE website cbsenet.nic.in.

(Note: Fee submitted through any other mode like Money Order, Demand Draft, IPO etc. will be summarily rejected by the board.)

4. The candidates are advised to apply before the 5 April 2018 deadline. According to CBSE, the board will not be responsible for any network problems on days close to the last date of registration.

Important Dates To Remember

Online application starts on 6 March 2018.

Last date of application: 5 April 2018.

Correction in particulars of the application form can be done online from 25 April 2018 to 1 May 2018.

The admit card will be available on the CBSE website in the third week of June 2018.

Date of examination: 8 July 2018.
