The results for Constable (GD) was declared on 21 June 2019 by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). The results for the General Duty posts in forces like CAPFs, NIA, SSF and also for Riflemen (Assam) were declared. Candidates can check their results on the official website i.e., www.ssc.nic.in.
5,34,052 candidates have qualified the examination for SSC GD this year, out of whom 4,65,632 are male candidates who have been shortlisted for the PET/PST round. 68,420 are female candidates in various categories.
30,41,284 candidates had appeared for the GD Constable examination this year.
The Computer Based Mode examination for GD Constable was conducted between 11 February 2019 and 11 March 2019 by the commission.
The final selection is done on the basis of Computer Based Test, the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and the Physical Standard Test (PST). Candidates will also have to clear a medical examination in order to be selected for the post.
The candidates selected for PET/ PST are in the approximate ratio of 1:10 (vacancy: candidates), as per the Notice of examination.
Candidates from the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) category who scored less than 33% marks are not eligible to be shortlisted for the PET/ PST. Similarly, candidates from the Unreserved (UR) and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) category who scored less than 35% marks are not shortlisted for the PET/ PST.
