ICAI Postpones CA May 2019 Examination Due to General Elections
The last date for submission of examination forms has been revised to 16 March 2019.
The Chartered Accountants examinations have been postponed due to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the council announced on Monday, 11 March 2019.
“In view of elections to the 17th Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituencies across the country, the Chartered Accountant Examinations initially scheduled from 2-17 May 2019 stand rescheduled and the said examinations shall now be held from 27 May-12 June 2019,” according to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) circular.

There will be no examination on Wednesday, 5 June 2019, on account of Id-ul-Fitr, being a gazetted holiday, the circular said.
Effectively, the last date for submission of examination forms has also been revised. Now, the last date for submission of examination forms without late fee is 16 March 2019, while the last date for submission of examination forms with late fee is 23 March 2019.
