CBSE Class X Results: What Toppers Who Scored 499/500 Have to Say
A total of 97 students share the top three positions.

Thirteen students have scored 499/500 in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 exams, with seven of them being from the Dehradun region. A total of 97 students shared the top three positions, according to the results, released on Monday, 6 May.
Sidhant Pengariya, from Noida, one of the 13 students who scored the near-perfect score said that he “never compromised on co-curricular activities” in the name of board exams.
Adding that he was on “cloud nine,” Pengariya said that he never expected the big score.
“My papers had gone well, so I was expecting good marks. But getting to know I got 499 came as a big shock. I am grateful and thankful to everyone,” he said.
Manya Jindal, another student who scored 499 out of 500 said that she wanted to credit her parents and teachers for her score.
“I want to credit my parents and teachers for this. I am feeling very happy. From LKG to now, the staff of the school have supported me throughout,” Manya said.
Jaipur topper Taru Jain’s goal is to pursue Economics (Hons) from Delhi University.
Trivandrum and Chennai region bagged the top two spots with a pass percentage of 99.85 and 99, while Guwahati recorded the lowest with 74.49 percent.
There was an overall increase of 4.40 percent in the number of students who cleared the exams this year, compared to 2018.
Girl students have fared better than boys by 2.31 percent.
