Rajnish Kumar to Be New SBI Chairman for the Next Three Years

Kumar will replace current chairman Arundhati Bhattacharya.

The government on Wednesday named Rajnish Kumar as the new chairman of State Bank of India for a period of three years, according to a government order. His appointment is with effect from 7 October.

He will replace current chairman Arundhati Bhattacharya.

Kumar is currently SBI’s managing director. He joined the board on 26 May 2015 and was chief executive officer of SBI Capital Markets earlier.
