Kashem is a resident of Durmut village under the Mangalkote police station limits in Burdwan district, the officer said.

Woman Kills Two Kids, Self Over Domestic Feud in Thane

A 28-year-old woman allegedly killed her two children before killing herself due to marital discord in Thane city of Maharashtra, police said.

SC Directs UP Govt to Form SIT to Look Into Allegations Made by Student Against Chinmayanand

In the Shahjahanpur law student case, the Supreme Court has directed Uttar Pradesh government to constitute a Special Investigation Team (SIT) into the apprehension and allegation made by the student against BJP leader and former minister Swami Chinmayanand.

The bodies of three factory workers were found in a room in a slum locality in the Union Territory of Daman and Diu, police said, adding that the deaths may have been due to food poisoning.

Car Bomb Explosion Rocks Kabul; Casualties Feared

A heavy explosion jolted the city of Kabul on Monday evening and was big enough to be heard in different parts of the city.

The Interior Ministry’s spokesman Nusrat Rahimi said it was a car bombing that happened at around 9:45 pm Kabul time.

He said the explosion happened in Kabul’s police district 9 (PD9) near Green Village, a residential area for foreign nationals, offices and NGOs.
