  • The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation on Thursday passed a motion to make ‘Vande Matram’ compulsory in all BMC-run schools.
  • The Corporation will send the proposal to the state govt for final decision, said Mayor Vishwanath Mahadeshwar.
  • BMC’s followed Madras High Court, which ruled that it was mandatory for all government-run institutions schools to sing the Vande Mataram.
