Dear Soldier, I Miss My Bhai on Rakhi, Just Like Other Sisters

I’m a daughter of a retired personnel and a sister of a young soldier.

Thank you to all the soldiers who dedicated their lives to this country.

This is straight from a heart of a civilian, for whom you fight till your last breath and happily embrace the bullets!

Thank you to all the soldiers who have dedicated their lives to this country.

Being a daughter of a retired personnel and a sister of a young soldier, I can relate to all the sisters who miss their brothers on Raksha Bandhan, but soon it dawns on you that they are doing raksha of our country, which is far more important. Just like the Indian Army moto SERVICE BEFORE SELF!

I’ve learnt far great life lessons from you! You’ve taught me about humanity and love. It’s because of you guys, brotherhood is above blood relation.

We get to celebrate festivals, birthdays, and other important events all because we know you are there for us at the border as a sentinel standing tall. I am so touched and overwhelmed by you and having to know you.

Before I stop penning down my feeling, I would like to add a quote.

Our flag doesn’t fly because wind moves it; it flies with the last breath of each soldier who died protecting it.

This quote is so true to what you do and for the family that was left behind while you were protecting others.

I know that this thank you note would be insufficient to express my gratitude. So on behalf of the old and young generations, I would like to say “JAI HIND..... JAI HIND KI SENA.”
