Dear Soldier,
I am a research scholar at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi. A lot has been published about us to ridicule what I feel for my land. I want you to know how deeply grateful I am that there are brave men and women like you who are surviving the cold, the fear and hunger to protect their motherland.
More than students, more than politicians who govern, more than businessmen who buy and sell, more than teachers who teach patriotism, and more than Bollywood that sells desh bhakti, it is you, dear soldier, who understands the heartbeat of India. My Sandesh to a Soldier is, I salute your will and your fiery spirit.
