Dear Soldier, I Wonder How You Stare Directly in the Face of Fear

My ‘Sandesh to a Soldier’ is that I owe you my life, and words aren’t enough to sing your praise.

Dear Soldier,

You have a life that you have forgotten to live, just for my sake. You have a family that you haven't seen in months, just so that I could remain happy with mine. I am immensely grateful because you decided to risk your life so that I could stay safe. For you, every single day is like a storm that you must withstand. I keep wondering how you laugh courageously in the face of death. There have been times I have thought of becoming someone like you, for there is no pride greater than serving humanity, and you have been doing that unconditionally.

Unfortunately, I am not brave like you. Probably, in my next life, I will be able to serve you, because you deserve to be happy. I owe you my life and I cannot thank you enough. There is a lot more to say in your praise but words won't suffice.

With all due respect and love.
