Lahore-based blogger Sarmad Iqbal sends in his My Report on what the youth of Pakistan think about Imran Khan’s ‘Naya Pakistan’.

Imran Khan’s Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has vowed to bring about a ‘Naya Pakistan’ on 25 July, the day general elections are to be held in Pakistan. In April, the cricketer-turned-politician announced his 11-point agenda for a ‘new Pakistan’.

What do the youth of Pakistan think? Here are a few thoughts they shared:

Imran is a symbol of hope and change. He launched ‘Sehat Sahulat Program’ which succeeded in giving 70 percent health insurance to poor people.

In 2013, he (Imran) was given a province to make ‘Naya Pakistan’. He also played a crucial role as an Opposition in the national assembly. Judging from his past performance, I feel ‘Naya Pakistan’ is based on lies and double standards.
