My name is Rajesh Manohar Lal Baniya.

I live in Mahim area of Mumbai. I was on the Western Express highway, the Kala Nagar bridge side a while ago, and it is ridden with potholes. A little while ago, I managed to avert an accident that could have cost me my life.

There was a bus behind me that pulled the brakes in time which saved me. Else it would have run me over. Who is responsible for this?

Who would have been responsible had I broken my limbs? If I lost my life? It is my plea to the government, the traffic police, CM Devendra Fadnavis and PM Narendra Modi to guarantee our safety.

We leave our homes for work everyday in the morning, it would be unfortunate for our families to hear the news of our demise at the end of the day. I request the authorities to work diligently.

There are huge potholes on the roads in Mumbai. Do our lives have no value?

The pothole my bike got imbalanced from was at least 1 foot deep! If someone else’s bike misbalances here, would they be able to survive? Perhaps not. I was lucky, others may not be. This happens every year during the monsoon. I request BMC to look into this.
