Extensive arrangements have been made by the Uttar Pradesh government for the 2019 Kumbh Mela, that is set to begin on 15 January in Prayagraj.
The government has beautified many spots in the city for the Kumbh. According to media reports, the mela area will have over 1.22 lakh toilets, 250 km of new roads, 22 pontoon bridges and over 40,000 LED lights.
There is also a ‘Tent City’ in preparation for visitors, making it a grand affair. Here are some photos that capture the Kumbh Mela in the making.
