I have recently graduated from Delhi University and have been preparing for the LLB entrances that are to come for the three-year courses.

The top colleges and also some of the few three-year LLB course are from Delhi University Law Faculty, Government College of Law, Mumbai, ILS Pune and Punjab University.

For these colleges, the DU LLB entrance, the Maharashtra CET and PU LLB entrance are to be given.

This year though, all the three have been scheduled for the same date, that is 17 June 2018. Delhi University was the last one to announce its schedule.

Given the circumstances, how are we as students expected to pick any one exam? And pray that we clear that one entrance? This isn’t fair.

We are being denied a fair chance to at least appear for all the exams and then be given admission or not if one does not clear it. Being denied a college for not clearing an exam is acceptable to us, but being denied the chance to give an exam is unacceptable.

This denial of a fair chance has struck a chord with all students and left them with a tough choice that they should not be making in the first place.

I have sent the same email to UGC and to the DU nodal officer in charge but haven’t received any response from them.

I hope they change the date as it affects thousands of students and has jeopardised our career.
