The second phase of the Chhattisgarh Assembly Election ended on Tuesday, 20 November. This was the state’s fourth Assembly election since 2000, the year it was carved from Madhya Pradesh. Erstwhile Congress leader Ajit Yogi had become the first chief minister of Chattisgarh, but had resigned in 2016 to form his new party Janta Congress Chattisgarh.
