Board exam – The words seem a bit scary, don’t they? But it's just like any other exam that carries a little more importance. I took my Board exams in 2017. It was an important year for me, or at least that's what I was told by my parents and relatives.

Our parents do make it seem like the most important thing in life is getting a high percentage in our Board exams, and I feel that's okay because they can't see their kid lagging behind. Perhaps it’s just another way of showing us how much they want us to succeed. But the truth is that it is just like any other exam. And there will a lot more difficult situations that we would have to face as we grow older.

My advice to everyone appearing for their Boards this year is to enjoy studying, because you are going to miss this time later in life. Remember that where there is stress, there's no enjoyment and no concentration. So relax, everything is going to be okay. You are going to come out with flying colours. Eat, play, study and repeat!

What worked for me was my own routine. Never compare yourself with others. A final ‘pro tip’ – don’t discuss how your exam was with your friends after a particular paper, because that can really take a hit at your confidence. All the best! This is the time to give your 100 percent into something.
