We all remember our pehla pyaar, don’t we? The first time you saw her, you imagined violins being played in the background and the air just got sweeter by her mere presence. The time when you would stare at the blank wall for hours – daydreaming, giggling and blushing – while you thought about her. The time you would be ready to fight the well-built gundaas just to be her hero.

Well, here is another dreamy-eyed Bollywood lover, Saksham Verma, who has expressed his love for meaningful Bollywood cinema and the concept of ‘love’ itself through a series of VHS tape covers. Yes, VHS tapes! Not CDs, not DVDs but VHS.

Stage 1: ‘Dilkashi’ (Attraction)

The first stage of love is attraction

Stage 2: ‘Uns’ (Infatuation)

The second stage of love is infatuation

Stage 3: ‘Ishq’ (Love)

The third stage of love is...well, love itself

Stage 4: ‘Akidat’ (Trust)

The fourth stage of love is trust.

According to Saksham, love has seven stages. (Yes, seven. Not kidding!). He depicts each stage through an iconic Bollywood scene that he thinks sums up the matter of the heart.

Stage 5: ‘Ibadat’ (Worship)

The fifth stage of love is worship

Stage 6: ‘Junoon’ (Madness)

The sixth stage is madness.

Stage 7: ‘Maut’ (Death)

The seventh and the final stage is death.
