Ideas have power. They can move you. They can open your mind, change the way you think, and inspire you to perform feats you would have normally never imagined. The world runs on ideas and now you have a chance to see some of the best ideas in India shared by some of its brightest minds.

Star Plus has launched its limited edition show, TED Talks India Nayi Soch. The show is hosted by Shah Rukh Khan and he will introduce viewers to some of India’s most brilliant thinkers. The only thing they have in common is the fact that they are ordinary people who have had extraordinary ideas and the courage to pursue them. Some of the speakers include: Anirudh Sharma who has developed a technology called Kaalink that captures carbon emissions from the environment and recycles them into ink. Shubhendru Sharma, who has started a company that is creating mini forest ecosystems in barren lands to tackle pollution. Gautam Bhan, who is working on solving the issue of urban housing; and Manju Kapur, a feminist writer who writes about the roles that men need to play in relationships.

This is the first time TED Talks is being broadcast on television and the show exemplifies Star Plus’ ethos of Nayi Soch and the channel’s desire to spread great ideas among people that could potentially change their lives. The talks will be conducted in Hindi so that the ideas can reach more people across the country. Watch the show every Sunday at 7pm on Star Plus. Let your journey to inspiration begin.
