Manish Malhotra is an ace couturier, path breaking costume stylist, a major social media influencer and art revivalist. Adding another role to his already existing credentials, Manish now turns tutor! As he joins hands with International Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD) and London School of Trends to impart fashion education and training online.

Manish Malhotra started his career as a model, while studying at the Elphinstone College in Mumbai. Though he did not have formal fashion design training, Manish‟s love for sketching, passion for cinema and penchant for clothes, saw him veer towards costume styling. So, we asked the expert why should one do a course in fashion? “If you are interested in the field of fashion, it’s always nice to do that course. It kind of teaches you certain aspects of what you are wanting to do and it could help you decide whether that really excites you? i think it could also become a medium to make you discover yourself!”

Manish Malhotra’s prolific career spanning 29 years has seen him redefine fashion for an entire generation of Indians. From his work with Hindi cinema’s influential leading- ladies to launching his eponymous label in 2005, Manish Malhotra tells design stories in a language profuse with elegance, ultra-femininity and unapologetic glamour. The year 2018 marked 29 years of his association with Hindi cinema as a designer and stylist and 13 years since the creation of his bespoke label.

Telling us about the one thing that still keeps him going, Malhotra articulates, “I am an everyday learner and I don’t take my work for granted. I think that life you can’t take for granted, how can you take your work for granted! I am yet on my toes. I don’t think I have ever sat down and said, ‘I have done it’ or ‘I don’t need to do this.’ Because if I ever felt that way, then I wouldn’t be there. Also, I am very very commitment prone and once I commit to something I give it more than my 100 per cent.”
