We all know how aggressive Skoda is in terms of innovation and design excellence. We have been drooling over their dynamic range of cars, which enjoys an international foothold. And this year, the Czech based car manufacturer upped its game many folds by launching the all new Skoda Rapid that flaunts a crystalline design and enhanced performance along with some simply clever solutions.

So What’s New?

The new Rapid doesn’t just ride high on its Czech lineage with a crystalline design but also comes with Quartz-cut projector headlights, large grille with a chrome outline, Masculine bonnet, revamped bumper with black cladding, Trapezoidal fog lamps, and jewel shadow LED DRLs.

But That’s Not it. The Car is More of an Inspiration!

Yes, the New Rapid’s striking looks have found a way to become the muse of four artists from various genres being Metal, 3D, Fiber, and Digital art forms. Through the purest form of design and art, these artists have created their interpretation of the New Skoda Rapid.

One of these renditions done by the award-winning sculptor Prashant Desai, caught our attention. He is well known for his sculptures of Mahatma Gandhi and Bollywood personality, Raj Kapoor. And this time, he got associated with the Skoda design project to present his version of the coveted crystalline design.

What caught our attention was Desai’s creativity in translating the signature grill of the sedan to form the center of his metal artwork creation - a pair of butterfly wings that expands from the grill.

For Desai, the automotive magic that captures the imagination of so many of us came true and it was his expertise at metal art that saw him create his own imagination-made-real masterpiece.

Check out the story behind his inspiration, the grandeur of his efforts, and the splendid result. Thank us later.

And that’s how a car met art.

Go on, watch it as many time as you wish because we know once is not enough. But only after you explore the new Skoda Rapid!
