Ugh, still the worst tasting liquid in Potter universe!

Well, as a biologist interested in medicine, I think it would be amazing to have something that could regrow the bones instead of doctors inserting a rod or other stuff to do the work. Inserting foreign objects can result in problems with the immune system, and taking immunosuppressants to avoid that is also not very safe or convenient. But getting my own bones back, brand as new? Best!

Anyone like me who forgets to live his or her life in the fear of “What ifs?” it would be nice to feel confident and exuberant for once and just allow ‘liquid luck’ to work its charm. I could bring world peace! Or somehow convince Trump against building that solar panel wall. I could fall off a cliff and dive into an abyss, and still come out alive. It would be even nicer to have the potion help me with my general anxiety, deadlines and in negotiating with my research supervisor. Small worldly problems often require a bit of a magical touch.

Time-Turner, Because I Want to Try Everything!

We all want to be Hermione as we struggle our office work, let’s be real. 

So this is why I’d like the Time Turner to be real: as someone’s who pretty busy but also wants the extra time to try out new things, procrastinate, binge watch Netflix, spend hours working on something, learn something new, or just catch up on extra work, a time Turner would be ideal. There are so many times during the day when I tell myself “it would be cool if I be in several places at the same time doing various thing”. Of course I’m sure there are dire side effects like becoming extremely tired, but oh well. I’m at the age where I still wanna try everything, but don’t have the time/have the organizing skills of a carrot.

Because mostly whenever it appears in the novels, it’s cold outside and someone suggests having a tankard of Butterbeer. Kids drink it, so obviously it’s not that alcoholic and wouldn’t result in hangovers. Plus, who wouldn’t want a frothy warm butterscotch drink, that is associated with happiness more often than not?

Having moving images on a newspaper would enhance the reading experience and also encourage people to read newspapers I guess. Plus, it can revolutionise the way advertising would be carried out in newspapers. It can spark a new wave of creativity as far as ads and journalism is concerned. Plus. it would look so cool!

A Firebolt, A Pet Owl, An Invisibility Cloak, A Time-Turner – Why Must I Pick Just One?

I would LOVE to own a Firebolt. Harry Potter actors like Daniel Radcliffe have often spoken about how uncomfortable it was filming for Quidditch, but I am assuming if I were to have a magical, flying broomstick it would be way more comfortable than a prototype from a Muggle movie-set. I would also like to have a pet owl, an invisibility cloak and a time-turner. I would also at least once would like to encounter the Mirror of Erised, simply to know what is it that I truly desire. Clearly, I’m a very greedy Harry Potter fan.
