George W Bush Talks Trump Presidency, Free Media and Putin

He talked about how he had to convince Vladmir Putin, the importance of free press.

Former President George W Bush spoke about his time as the president and compared it with the Trump presidency. He said that the reality of the job only hit a person once they’re in office.

Speaking about the witch-hunt that the media is facing under the president, Bush called the media as an indispensable part of democracy.

Power can be very addictive, corrosive and it falls onto the media to call out and hold people to account on the abuses of power.

He also talked about how he had to convince Vladmir Putin, the importance of free press.
