The Bengaluru police on Thursday arrested four persons in connection with the sexual assault of a woman on New Year’s day in Kammanahalli in the city’s eastern region.

The arrest comes three days after a CCTV footage surfaced showing two scooter-borne men accost a woman, ride past her, take a U-turn and halt the vehicle. Then one of them jumps off, gropes her and escapes.

All this while bystanders watch without coming to the victim’s help.

The CCTV footage went viral leaving everybody shocked, worried and scared. The Quint visited the area to speak to the local residents who have also been accused of not assisting the woman at the time of the crisis.
