Bengaluru Man Uploads Sex Tape of Ex-GF as Revenge, Arrested

A Bengaluru techie was arrested by the Chikkamagalur Police on Thursday after his former girlfriend filed a complaint alleging that he had uploaded a sex tape of her on a porn website.

According to the Chikkamagalur SP, the accused, Hemanth, is a 29-year-old techie employed at the Manyata Tech Park in Bengaluru.

The girl, who is from Chikkamagalur, was studying in a private engineering college in the city and was in a live-in relationship with Hemanth. The couple had separated three months ago.

“Hemanth had recorded a video of the girl while they were intimate two years ago. The girl has alleged that before they separated, he began threatening her and forced her to go back to Chikkamagaluru and also change her college,” the SP said.

Hemanth then uploaded the video on a porn site two weeks ago. When the girl found out, she immediately filed a complaint with the Chikkamagaluru police and Hemanth was nabbed from his office. He has been remanded to 14-day judicial custody, the SP said.
