Acid Attack Victim Reshma Chillin’ in Manhattan Before NYFW

The Quint is tracking Reshma Qureshi as she gets set to walk at the New York Fashion Week.

Our darling girl Reshma Qureshi is all set to walk the ramp at New York Fashion Week, happening from 8-15 September. This is her maiden visit abroad, but what makes it even more significant is that her presence will be a major statement in rallying for the cause of acid attack victims and making them visible on an international stage.

We are following the girl as she goes out and kicks some serious butt!

Reshma was attacked by her sister’s estranged husband and two other people in May 2014 while visiting the city of Allahabad.

When Qureshi tried to help her sister, the men poured acid on her face.

Through beauty videos, Reshma, and Ria Sharma, Founder of Make Love Not Scars want to highlight how finding acid to spoil a woman’s face is easier than finding the right shade of lipstick.
