Men are no longer chained by the 'don't wear pink', 'don't cry' and other cliches of traditional manhood. They are looking inwards, discussing among themselves and conversing with women about what manhood is and what it’s not.

This International Men's Day, we would like to share one such conversation with you.

It’s taken from a thread on Quora, which asked users what were their ten laws for manhood. We compiled some funny, some surprisingly deep, and some incredibly insightful ones.

Well guys, in case you woke from a Kumbhakarna -like slumber, you’d know by now that the phrase 'being a man' has undergone a dramatic shift over the years. From being expected to be an emotional porcupine (real men don't show feelings, et al), men are now getting more and more comfortable with showing their vulnerability. They are now also shaping their own definitions of manhood and throwing away staid definitions in the gutter.

Well, that doesn’t sound bad at all. After all, everyone likes a buffet where they can pick and choose their favourite dishes, instead of being told they will only have a fixed menu for life! On that note, a happy Men’s day to you all!
