The Chennai Rainbow Pride March marks its eleventh outing on Sunday, 30 June. Held under the banner of the Tamil Nadu Rainbow Coalition, which is a group of individuals and organisations who work for and support the LGBTQIA community, the march grows bigger each year.

Last year saw over 500 participants. This year, the number is set to rise despite the threat of rain and the oppressive humidity.

Typically, the march begins near Rajarathinam stadium in Egmore, and ends near the LG road junction. Here are some moments from the event.

The Pride flag flies high, spreading love and hues.
Of all things adorable – Love, consent and FRIES.
Beyond the social constructs, love always wins!
Of dance and love!
Shine in love!
Unmask the pride!
Hold the pride closer to heart!
