The pretty Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau managed to woo the world again on Wednesday when he raised the Pride Flag at Parliament Hill. this is the first time the Pride flag has been hoisted at the Canadian Parliament.

Canada is united in its defence of rights and is standing up for LGBTQ rights. This is what we are truly celebrating today.

The Prime Minister addressed a large crowd that witnessed the historic event.

“And quite frankly… we still have more work to do,” Trudeau added, also pointing out that his government is pushing for a transgender rights bill to ensure better security of trans-Canadians.

The flag was raised to mark the beginning of Pride Month and it will remain there for sometime. 

Trudeau will also become the first Canadian Prime Minister to attend Pride parades during his tenure.
